Nose: Fresh, mild antiseptic, subtle peat smoke-
Palate: Complex. Smoked haddock, cut plug tobacco, burnt newspapers, but buttery, sweeter cooked fruit notes predominate.
Finish: Chewy toffee drying out to oak.
Comment: A fine robust dram with lots happening. Laphroaig at its best.

Amber with gold streaks. Its aroma and flavor is fresh, powerful, and medicinal, with notes of peat smoke, band aids, tar, rich toffee, seaweed, and brine. Thick in body, with an almost molasses like viscosity.
